Will Egan (Mill Valley) takes Week 1 of the CrossFit Open!

This week’s winner of our Gym/Gym/Gym CrossFit Open Competition is Will Egan out of Mill Valley! Will is shown here wearing the coveted TJ’s Gym champion belt with great pride.

Will the belt stay in Mill Valley next week?

Time and a lot of blood, sweat, and tears will tell! This is a fun, community-building five weeks, and so far, there have been plenty of laughs and high-fives! If you’re not doing the Open, aren’t into it, or don’t even know what it is, NO PROBLEM! Just feed off the extra energy in the gyms and you might just find yourself working a little harder than normal for the next month, which is a great side benefit!

Outside of the options listed on the PDF linked above, you will need to sign up to perform a workout and judge on Saturday, by going to one of the links below.  Once we see what the workout is each week and how long it will take, we will update the sign-up links. Please remember that you are expected to judge if you do a workout (and are judged yourself). Thank you!

TJ’s Gym + Whole Foods Instagram Contest

Hey TJ’s Peeps! We want you to show us in photos what makes our TJ’s community so great! We’ve partnered up with @wholefoodsmarin to reward your commitment to fitness and community, and our ten favorite photos will each win a $50 Whole Foods Market gift card! The rules are simple: hashtag any fitness-related photo with #TJsGymLifestyle and follow both @tjsgyms and @wholefoodsmarin. Photos must be taken during the month of March and hashtagged by 3/31. Each individual can enter up to 10 photos. Contestants agree to allow @tjsgyms and @wholefoodsmarin to repost entry photos with credit on their Instagram channels. Winners will be announced the week of April 2nd. To be eligible, contestants must be active members of TJ’s Gym and follow both @tjsgyms and @wholefoodsmarin at the time of posting and winner selection.
