TJ’s Gym Workouts for the Week of 9.11.17

You’re looking at one of the new members of Marin Rowing’s Novice boats AND you’re also looking at the incoming Freshman who just so happened to earn the TOP score among all Freshman at tryouts during testing. He rowed a 147.3 split time for SEVEN minutes, the fastest time in the past two years. He also crushed a 1.5-mile run and also happens to have done it all in a TJ’s Gym t-shirt. Jackson Sperling, you’re badass, and you’ve worked your tail off to get here. Huge congratulations from all of us, including your Coach, Anthony, your nutrition mentor, TJ, and your entire TJ’s Corte Madera community. We are all super proud and can’t wait to follow your progress. Nicely done!

Former TJ’s Gym Athlete of the Year and all-around stellar human being, Josh Larson, is asking for help with a fundraiser to support research on Type 1 Diabetes, a disease with which one of his daughters, Reese, was recently diagnosed. *OPEN GYM FALL SCHEDULE: Please note that we have some minor changes to our Open Gym Schedules and a new class added on Friday afternoons in Corte Madera. All schedules are updated on our website Schedules Page. Please note that any time there is a class on the schedule, the gym is available for Open Gym use, as well. You can also text a coach if you want to come at a non-scheduled time to check if the coach will be there with a client or working out. Let us know if you have any questions!

*30-Minute sessions: Schedule one of our 30-minute personal training sessions for $50! Some examples of what might be suited to a 30-minute session: You want to get double unders once and for all. You want to learn specific mobility tricks for your aching shoulder. You want to learn how to do a more technically sound Olympic lift. You want to work on your running technique. You want to see if personal training is right for you. Before or after a class is a great time to tack on 30 minutes! Schedule a session directly with a coach or through Jessica@tjsgym.com.

*The TJ’s Rodeo 2017 will go down on Sunday, October 22nd at the San Rafael gym. If you’re new to TJ’s, you need to know that this is a day not to be missed. It’s our annual TJ’s Gym competition, and suffice it to say that it’s awesome!
