Catlin is a working mom of two young kids. This picture shows one of the dozen or so rope climbs she did on Friday. She had never attempted any before this. Sometimes it’s tiring convincing women that being strong and functional is a good thing and that focusing on burning calories makes for a futile existence and one that doesn’t reap the rewards the marketers want you to believe you will enjoy. Anyway, here’s to Cat and all of the other strong, functional women we have the honor of coaching.
*We have removed the Mill Valley Wednesday 9:30am class from the schedule until further notice, due to non-attendance. We will revisit once schools are back in session and schedules normalize. The gym will still remain open until 11:00am for the morning shift for Open Gym use.
*Mark your calendars!!! The TJ’s Rodeo 2017 will go down on Sunday, October 22nd at the San Rafael gym. If you’re new to TJ’s, you need to know that this is a day not to be missed. It’s our annual TJ’s Gym competition, and suffice it to say that it’s awesome! On that note…

*We are finalizing our G.R.I.T. program for teens and are gathering a great group of teens who are ready to commit themselves to a safe, challenging, and team-building program. This is next-level fitness, camaraderie, and education for teens, and we are psyched!
G.R.I.T. @TJ’s Gym is for teens who are serious about training.
It’s for teens who want to treat training as their sport of choice and/or to become a better athlete at their sport of choice outside the gym. It’s for teens who want to take training and lifestyle choices to the NEXT LEVEL, under the guidance of some of TJ’s finest coaches. Camaraderie and group support will be a huge part of the experience, while the program design will be challenging, smart, and built for teens developing GRIT.
