ANNOUNCEMENTS: We’ve got a lot to say, so please read all the way through!

*ATTENTION TEENS who want to take their training to the NEXT LEVEL: We are super excited to share our new TEEN OFFERING:

Get Ready for Intense Training. 
Details coming soon, in our newsletter this week, as well as by email to those of you with teens. The gist of it is this: this program will be for teens who are serious about training, who may be on the older side, and/or who want to treat their time in the gym in a way similar to how athletes treat their sport of choice.  It will be an opportunity to take training and lifestyle choices to the NEXT LEVEL, under the guidance of some of TJ’s finest coaches. Camaraderie and group support will be a huge part of the experience, while the program design will be challenging, smart, and built for teens. Email allison@tjsgym.com with questions or to get on our email list for when this one-of-a-kind program launches, likely in mid-August or first week of September. *We have three new TJ’s staff members to welcome! We’re super excited about the energy they’re infusing into the gyms already, as well as the promise of great things to come. They’ll all be featured in our newsletter coming to your email boxes later this week, but we also wanted to brief you about them here:

Screen Shot 2017-07-16 at 8.40.58 PM.pngCHRIS ESQUIVEL:  Chris comes to us as a former member of our great friends at San Francisco CrossFit, where he learned from some of the best minds in the fitness world. Prior to that, Chris had worked for years as a bootcamp instructor and personal trainer. A lifelong athlete, Chris has put his passion for fitness and health at the forefront of his path, and he’s excited to work with the community at TJ’s, in which he’s been immersed for a few months now as an athlete. Mill Valley members know Chris as the guy to finally give Zack K. a run for his money!  Welcome, Chris! We’re psyched to have you on board!

Arielle hails from Long Island, NY but comes to us from San Diego, CA, where she has been coaching at Invictus Fitness.  Arielle is driven to learn her craft and has has a variety of certifications under her belt. She is especially passionate about working with kids and teens, so keep your eyes out for her involvement in the expansion of our youth programs. Please give Arielle a warm welcome when you see her in the gyms! We’re excited to have her joining our team and creating more opportunities for our families.

*Our new coaching intern, Jesse, has started shadowing our coaches at the gyms. Following in the footsteps of the amazing Coach Nick, Jesse is completing this internship as part of the Humboldt State University Kinesiology graduation requirements. If Jesse turns into anything remotely like the TJ’s dynamo that is Nick, we will count ourselves, and you all, super lucky!  More on Jesse in our next newsletter, going out later this week! Please introduce yourselves to him and give him a big ol’ high five when you see him at the gyms!

*Athletic Achievement of the week: Congrats to Mill Valley superstar, Artie Delnegro, on his successful Mt. Shasta climb up and ski down. No doubt, fitness helped. Nice job, Artie!

*WE ARE SPONSORING A SOCCER JUGGLING AND SKILLS CLINIC with two awesome youth soccer coaches at Redwood High’s new turf football field on August 5th for ages 6-13. This is a great way for your soccer-playing kids to develop critical skills and help a great cause! Email allison@tjsgym.com for more information or to show proof of donation to register, and SPREAD THE WORD–this is open to ALL!
