Some of our awesome team.
*JULY FOURTH SCHEDULE: Corte Madera 7:30am, San Rafael 7am and 8am, Mill Valley 7am and 8am. Have a safe and happy holiday!
*Summer Open Gym time changes: Through mid-August, Mondays in Corte Madera will close at 11am, and Thursdays in Mill Valley will close at 10:30am. Thanks!
*We have a few extras of the super-cool and cozy TJ’s zip hoodies you’ve seen all of our coaches (and some members) wearing, in both men’s and women’s cuts. We do have a fun of sizes, but not much left in stock, so if you want one, please email firstname.lastname@example.org ASAP! They are great for mornings at Stinson in the summer!
*Our new coaching intern, Jesse Lee, has started shadowing our coaches at the gyms. Following in the footsteps of the amazing Coach Nick, Jesse is completing this internship as part of the Humboldt State University Kinesiology graduation requirements. If Jesse turns into anything remotely like the TJ’s dynamo that is Nick, we will count ourselves, and you all, super lucky! More on Jesse (and a photo) in our next newsletter, going out later this week! Please introduce yourselves to him and give him a warm welcome when you see him at the gyms!
*We are still accepting sign-ups for our Competitor’s Program, set to begin in late August!
*We love celebrating the physical accomplishments of members of the TJ’s community and always try our best to highlight them on social media. We thought it would be fun to add them to the blog from time to time, as well. Please email email@example.com with photos, videos, and the scoop about any physical accomplishments by TJ’s Peeps! Here are few we know of in recent times:
Back in March, MV OG, Theo Emison (front of photo), summitted the Grand Paradiso, the highest peak in Italy (13,323 feet) and then skied down 5,000 feet to base camp. This past week, Theo did his first-ever bar muscle up!
A couple of weeks ago, MV OG, Will Egan, ran the Double Dipsea race just six days after completing the regular Dipsea race, and on one of the hottest days of the year!
Last week, more MV OG’s, Felipe Gomez, Sandro Fornesi, and Adam Fong summitted Mount Shasta!
*Yet another MV member, Tatum Robach, recently completed a 10-mile Tough Mudder (her third to date), with her mom and brother. She scaled all sorts of obstacles like the one in this photo, and was fully prepared because of her consistency and badassery in the gym! There’s something in the water at TJ’s Mill Valley!
Our final shoutout of the week goes to 12-year-old Hollis Belger, for beating her soccer juggling record by doing 2,071 consecutive juggles in a row, alternating L/R feet. It took 23:07. Super impressive physically and mentally, and for a great cause, to boot!
WORKOUTS FOR THE WEEK–HAVE FUN!
