Our Annual Juggling for Jude Post
We spent 36 hours in Memphis at the ALSAC/St. Jude 60th Anniversary celebration. Our younger daughter, Hollis, accepted the Jerry Nicholson Award, given to a young person for exemplary fundraising and awareness raising for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. We are truly grateful for the TJ’s Gym community’s support of Juggling for Jude over the past three years and figure that approximately 25% of the $129,000 Hollis has raised comes from people at TJ’s Gyms. Continuing to set her goals high, Hollis’s next goal is $200,000. Having just been to St. Jude, touring their incredible facilities and hearing more about their mission and operation, now more than ever, we know the importance for all of us of supporting their lifesaving work.
For anyone reading this looking for a charity to get behind, we hope you will consider Juggling for Jude. For those who have given before, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts and hope you will consider giving again this summer season. Hollis is juggling daily and is also available to give lessons to kids wanting to develop their soccer skills, in exhange for support of her fundraiser. Please take a few minutes to check out her blog post about her experience being at St. Jude. And if you have 3 minutes to spare, click on the link to her acceptance speech there, and give her a listen. She spoke to a room filled with hundreds of CEO’s and CFO’s and Board Members and St. Jude legacy donors, and parents of patients. We are proud and blessed parents and are extremely grateful for your interest and support. When you spend time with parents whose kids are fighting cancer or who have lost their battles, you recommit to doing whatever you can to change the face of this illness, including making use of your business forum to garner support. Thank you for your time and ongoing generosity!
