We have lots of events coming up that you should know about. Here’s the TJ’s Gym calendar with special events we have scheduled SO FAR over the next couple of months:
Saturday, September 3rd 31 Heroes WOD
We are an official host of this national fundraiser to raise money for the families of the fallen SEALS who were killed in action on August 6, 2011. The cost to register is $31 and it includes a t-shirt, which they will mail to TJ’s Gym for you to pick up. We will be doing the WOD at all 4 gyms that day. Saturday, October 22nd TJ’s Games–location TBD
Our annual competition for TJ’s members. All categories. All levels. All comers. Registration details to come. Save the date. This is a MUST for all TJ’s Gymers!
Saturday, December 10th–location TBD Disposable Heroes Project Fundraiser WOD.
This is our BIG effort in support of another organization dedicated to raising funds for wounded warriors and the families of fallen heroes. This is a GREAT organization run by a great guy, and our goal is to raise $15,000 through this workout. That’s right–$15000. More details to come, but we hope you will consider including this project in your charitable giving this year.
Sunday, January 29th, 2012–location TBD The NorCal 40′s
Our annual competition for athletes ages 40-49. This year should be even grander than last, with lots of sponsors and another great group of athletes and spectators. Another date to mark firmly in your calendars!
We will be having rotating open gym/happy hour times on many Fridays. The first will be Friday 8/26 in Novato from 4:30-6pm. The open gym time will simply count as one of your weekly classes. There will be a coach present, but these workouts are done on your own and not with the normal class structure. Please email email@example.com if you have any questions.
Also, don’t forget, the second Monday of every month from 6:45-8pm is the Women of TJ’s Gym Discussion Group in San Rafael. Open to all women members. It’s free and it’s an open forum to chat about all things related to your life as a woman who CrossFits at TJ’s.
