why Jiu Jitsu? Because Jiu Jitsu has been proven in the street and in the ring to be the most practical, and efficient self defense system in the world. Not only is it effective, but it is a gentle art that uses technique and strategy to subdue opponents rather that using violence and brutality. Jiu Jitsu is a grappling art that does not depend on hitting your opponent, but instead teaches you to achieve a dominant position from which you can control him.
Jiu-Jitsu is also a popular international sport which is both challenging and rewarding for students who wish to test their skills.
As for the Muay Thai Kickboxing:
It is open to both men and women.
this class is one hell of a work out, there is nothing quite like it. Students must first learn to master proper fighting stance, foot work, punches, kicks, and combinations. They must also learn to hold the pads. After that the fun begins, hitting the pads develops balance, multi-planar coordination, speed, power, rhythm, timing, cardio, cardio, cardio, muscle tone. Not to mention you will learn how to use your bodies most simple and effective weapons: the shins, the knees, the elbows and the fists. Verbal self defense will also be covered, most fights can be avoided by recognizing a situation and knowing what to say or how to act to prevent violence. Sometimes you need to be passive, yet other times you need to show strength. Knowing what to do and when is %90 of real self-defense.
this class will also include a lot of core conditioning exercises which will increase overall strength, beauty and add a lot of power to your kicks!
