Cannot for the life of me remember if I have put Astrid on the blog yet but today she deserves celebrity status. She was in my class today at 9:30 and she had to learn the squat clean to thruster/jerk/push press or whatever. She was incredibly patient and didn’t show a bit of emotion which really impressed me. The calmness that she showed during the learning process of the workout completely rubbed off on me. Surprisingly it was a very hectic day. With just five minutes of an AMRAP you would think otherwise. Modifications, injuries, inexperience and emotions were just a few of the curveballs coaches had to manuever today. At one point I gave her a tip that she was able to use immediately and she paused and put her hands together like she was going to pray and gave me a little bow of thanks. Much like Rebecca Kuga does every time she leaves the gym. ( I see you Rebecca) Funny but that made me feel awesome. Like I was really helping someone and she was completely grateful. Thanks Astrid.
