Our children have a greater opportunity (relative to adults) to maximize their
physical skills when exposed to the proper stimulus during years of peak
development. How lucky they are. On Sunday, current and future stars were out and about in Novato. In partnership with the City of Novato Park and Rec dept., TJ’s
Kids’ 4-6 year olds and 7-10 year olds took over the Teen Center Multipurpose
room, and we all had a blast. Jess Woodall lead our adult team of Megan Kelly,
Alica Bannister and Andy Boone. Our TJ’s Novato families showed big support for
the launch of our Novato program, and we also welcomed families who had never
heard of a thing called “CrossFit.” We are proud of our staff and families and are
looking for big things to come from the TJ’s Kids Novato program.
This is true of all of our TJ’s Kids locations and programs. Megan and Jess lead kids in San Rafael through a workout that had many of them doing handstand pushups and pistols! From preschoolers through pre-teens and into our TEAM program, we are committed to being on the forefront of a cultural shift through which young people will become fitter and more aware of a healthy lifestyle. We all should be proud to be a part of it. Click here for all of our kids info. As always, we are open to your suggestions and feedback about scheduling and curriculum.
Thanks to everyone who participated in the first Throwdown Series workout. From judges, to athletes, to cheerleaders, to photographers, to coordinators. It was a huge success by all accounts. We look forward to hosting many more Throwdown wods in the months to come.
Stay tuned for information on how TJ’s Gym will be hosting the CrossFit Games Open Sectionals. We are working out the logistics, but we look forward to “opting in” as many weeks as we can. Get ready for the first week’s workout–the week of March 15th. Details to follow, but we hope to have as many athletes as possible registered and participating.
LAST BUT CERTAINLY NOT LEAST, TJ’s GYM NOVATO ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY WORKOUT/ PARTY THIS FRIDAY AT THE NOVATO GYM. 5PM. FRIENDS AND FAMILY WELCOME. WE HOPE TO SEE AS MANY OF YOU AS POSSIBLE FOR THIS FUN EVENT. WE ALL HAVE A LOT TO CELEBRATE AS WE REFLECT ON A HUGE YEAR IN NOVATO and OUR EXPANDING COMMUNITY.
